EM Thera: Revolutionary Non-Invasive pelvic Floor Therapy

At Revival Clinic Bangkok, we are proud to introduce EM Thera, an advanced non-invasive treatment designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles using high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology. This innovative therapy is ideal for individuals experiencing urinary incontinence, weakened pelvic muscles, or seeking enhanced core stability.

How EM Thera Works
EM Thera stimulates deep pelvic floor muscles through thousands of supramaximal contractions in a single session—something impossible to achieve through regular exercise alone. These powerful contractions restore muscle tone and strength, providing long-term benefits for bladder control, intimate wellness, and overall pelvic health.

Conditions Treated by EM Thera

-
Urinary Incontinence – Helps strengthen weakened pelvic floor muscles, improving bladder control and reducing involuntary leakage caused by aging, childbirth, or injury.
-
Orgasm Disorders – Enhances pelvic floor muscle function to support normal sexual arousal and improve orgasmic response.
-
Erectile Dysfunction – Stimulates pelvic muscles to improve blood flow, support stronger erections, and boost overall sexual confidence.
-
Bowel & Bladder Control – Strengthens muscles responsible for the proper regulation of urination and bowel movements, reducing urgency and incontinence.
-
Chronic Pelvic Pain – Helps relieve persistent pelvic discomfort by strengthening the supporting muscles and improving circulation in the pelvic area.
-
Lower Back Pain – Provides core and pelvic stabilization, which helps alleviate lower back pain caused by weak pelvic muscles, poor posture, or underlying medical conditions.
-
Non-Surgical Buttock Lift EM Thera uses high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate and contract gluteal muscles, lifting and toning the buttocks without surgery, injections, or downtime.
-
Increased Muscle Strength & Definition The deep supramaximal contractions induced by EM Thera help build and strengthen muscles in the glutes, improving firmness, shape, and overall muscle tone.

Effortless & Effective Muscle Strengthening with HI-PFM Technology
-
Quick Treatment: Muscle contraction using HI-PFM technology takes only 30 minutes.
-
High Efficiency: Promotes approximately 30,000 muscle contraction movements per session.
-
Equivalent to Kegels: A 30-minute session is equivalent to 8 hours of doing Kegel exercises.
-
Convenient & Comfortable: Treatment can be done with clothes on, reducing discomfort and providing immediate effects with minimal burden on the body.

Treatment steps
Step 1: Preparation Before the Session
-
Empty your bladder before the session to reduce the risk of urinary tract infection (UTI), which is rare but can occur if the bladder is full.
-
Wear comfortable clothing as the treatment is performed while you remain fully clothed.

Step 2: Sitting on the EM Thera Chair
-
You will be seated comfortably on the EM Thera chair, ensuring the correct posture for optimal muscle stimulation.
-
The chair's position may be adjusted slightly to target the pelvic floor muscles effectively.

Step 3: Treatment Activation
-
The chair uses high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate deep pelvic and gluteal muscle contractions.
-
The session lasts 30 minutes, inducing 30,000 supramaximal contractions, equivalent to 8 hours of Kegel exercises.
-
Intensity can be gradually adjusted for comfort and effectiveness.

Step 4: Relax & Let the Technology Work
-
There is no need for active participation—simply relax while the electromagnetic pulses strengthen your muscles.
-
You may feel intense but painless contractions, similar to doing pelvic floor exercises.

Step 5: After-Treatment Care
-
Empty your bladder after the session to minimize the rare risk of UTI.
-
You can immediately resume daily activities as there is no downtime or recovery needed.

Contraindications for the treatment:
EM Thera is a safe and non-invasive treatment, but it is not suitable for individuals with the following conditions:
1. Patients with Metal Implants or Electronic Devices
-
Pacemakers, defibrillators, or implanted neurostimulators
-
Metallic implants in the treatment area (such as hip replacements, screws, plates)
2. Pregnancy & Postpartum Precautions
-
Pregnant women should avoid treatment due to electromagnetic exposure.
-
Recent postpartum patients should consult a doctor before starting sessions.
3. Severe Medical Conditions
-
Uncontrolled epilepsy (as electromagnetic fields may trigger seizures)
-
Active cancer or tumors in the pelvic region
4. Acute or Chronic Infections
-
Urinary tract infections (UTI) – Patients should complete treatment for infections before using EM Thera.
-
Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) – Active inflammation may worsen with treatment.
5. Severe Cardiovascular Conditions
-
Severe heart disease or recent heart surgery
-
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
6. Menstruation & Abnormal Bleeding
-
EM Thera may increase blood flow, so it is not recommended during heavy menstruation or for patients with unexplained vaginal bleeding.
7. Hernias or Recent Surgery
-
Patients with untreated hernias in the pelvic or abdominal region
-
Recent pelvic or abdominal surgery (requires full healing before treatment)
8. Neuromuscular Disorders
-
Patients with severe nerve damage or neuromuscular diseases affecting the pelvic floor
How Often Should I Do EM Thera?

The recommended frequency of EM Thera sessions depends on your treatment goals and individual condition. Here’s a general guideline:
Initial Treatment Phase:
-
2 sessions per week
-
Total of 6–8 sessions for optimal results
-
Most patients start noticing improvements after 3–4 sessions
Maintenance Phase:
-
After completing the initial sessions, a monthly maintenance session is recommended to sustain muscle strength and long-term benefits.
For Faster Results:
-
Some patients may opt for more frequent sessions (up to 3 times per week) for quicker improvement, depending on their doctor’s recommendation.
